Mauritius Golf
« on: December 10, 2011, 02:56:00 PM »

I was last in Mauritius in the 1960s and remembered a perenially sunny climate with the lowest temperature ever recorded as 45 degrees Farenheit. I went on to the web site for the European Tour and read "Frost cuts into Lehman's Lead." I thought that this had something to do with global warming/cooling until I discovered they were talking of David Frost. The mind is a terrible thing to waste!

Good thing Don January's playing days are over or you'd really be in trouble.  ;)

Jeepers Bob, where haven't you played?  So, you caused me to look up the event on Mauritius and sure enough, another hot bed of golf and spas.  It says that the course they are playing was designed by South African, Hugh Biaocchi.  Do you know him as well?  ;D

It seems the tiny island nation of Mauritius has a much better selection of golf than the larger Madagascar.  Although, Foulpointe of Madagascar has the more enduring reputation among the true golf conoscenti...  ;) ;D 8)
