Chris - it's like flying - you have a 99.999999% chance of a safe flight.  Don't let one evil man mess up a great experience for your kid.

Exactly what I was going to type.  I feel sorry for what happened to Terry's nephew but if the outcome of this thread is that people decide not to caddie then boy did this threw miss the mark.

What if you work instead at a retail store and get robbed at gunpoint? 

Other people just can't change their behaviors based on reading about freak occurrences (I didn't say accident because it doesn't sound like was an accident by all accounts but it is still a one in a million type event).
