« on: February 27, 2012, 09:03:46 PM »
Just an FYi. Per the Wsj an exhibit of 90 works of art covering 400 years of golf history is open until June 24th

If not there do any of you have works you would have liked see included
"Golf is happiness. It's intoxication w/o the hangover; stimulation w/o the pills. It's price is high yet its rewards are richer. Some say its a boys pastime but it builds men. It cleanses the mind/rejuvenates the body. It is these things and many more for those of us who truly love it." M.Norman

They will have trouble putting together a better show than the collection of watercolors hanging in Archie Baird's living room in Scotland.

I have a few that might be worthy...

These first two I like to call, "The Lie" and "The Lie II."

Some others I like to call "The Putts"

Here is "The View"

And, finally "The Golfer"

As TD says regarding AB watercolors.  The exhibit is a nice collection but it just didn't grab me.  I have seen much better collections of golf art at some clubs IMHO.  If you live near ATL and wish to see it, then go..but don't drive here to see it or take a spring day away from the course to see.

Viewed it yesterday. I was surprised to see how many items were on loan from the R&A.
