Does anyone know how do they do it?
They have 12 holes, a par of 42 and an SSS of 42 from the whites.
Now, if they'd hold an 18 hole competition (say by playing the front 6 twice), these values obviously wouldn't work for handicapping. So do they play their qualifying rounds over 12 holes only? But I don't find anything about 12 hole qualifying rounds in the CONGU regulations. They only provide for 9 or 18 holes.
Perhaps Shiskine extrapolate their 12 hole results to 18 hole equivalents?
Of course the easy answer would be that they only play match in Arran - but then why bother keeping SSS values?
