Frank,
All I remember seeing you say before was that you hoped to be back after lunch.  Obviously if you have an afternoon meeting in London, playing in the morning at either Sandwich or Deal makes no sense whatsoever.  My only point was that if Deal was too inconvenient, so was RSG.

You can't go wrong with Woking or Walton Heath.  Haven't played St. Georges Hill.

My feelings on both courses are similar and the extra time and effort considering my schedule won't work :(

Frank,
Does the fellow on the left(clad in Deal jacket & tie) look like someone who is easily offended?  People are just having a bit of fun with you.

I am deeply offended if the rare beef is off or the last slice of spotted dick has been eaten!

Frank - I'm ribbing no apology due in any form. I played Hoylake around 4 months before the Open and it was very disappointing, short course lots of temporary tees, bunkers closed off, etc.

I have confirmed times at both Sunningdale courses and Woking. I'm really excited to get out and experience Heathlands golf for my first time.

Good. I'm glad.

As of today I have confirmed times at both Sunningdale courses and Woking. I'm really excited to get out and experience Heathlands golf for my first time.

I'm also excited to try and get back there and play Sandwich, Deal and Rye while there. :)

Sounds like an awesome trip, enjoy.  I'll be interested to hear what you prefer among the three heathland courses.

Its not a big concern, but can anyone speak to what I can expect of the course conditions? Will the conditions effect the course characteristics at all? I know what the weather is usually like and I know it can be different every day, but how do the courses usually play in early March?

Impossibe to predict as it depends on the weather.  One thing I can say is you are much more likely to get better course conditions on links.  The heathlands has a reputation for being dry, but it is largely a myth.  Sure, the area drains better than many inland courses, but it doesn't compare to links.  If you get a week of dry, but not frosty weather before playing the courses should have every chance of being in good nick.

I played Sandwich yesterday. It's in good condition and, unless it's blowing, it's playing about as easy it gets with the rough cut right back and many bunkers GUR as they are redone ahead of the Open. For us it was quite windy from the east and -3C with wind chill, so no-one scored very well.
