Stuart - amen about the crisis.  I was like those posts till 2008 and everything changed.  No big deal - it's "real life" ;)

Last year was great as OldMac lived up to the hype and I was able to sneak on to Bayonne and Trump.

I am very much looking forward to King's Putter at Bandon and my yearly trip out to Ballyneal. It also looks like I am going to finally make it out to Dixie Cup as I would like to play Ballyhack and Kinloch very much.

Still debating whether or not to go to Pebble for my big 4-0...

I look forward to Scott Warren's Boomerang event in Tasmania in March to meet some new GCAers and see Lost Farm for the first time.

I will be traveling via Melbourne and look forward to seeing some new and revisit some other courses.

My wife wants to go home to England for Xmas this year - am toying with the idea as to whether I try and tag along with her (and take the golf sticks).

If you do, Kevin, I hope you get better weather than the past three Christmas seasons!

Midwest Mashie + week of golf in Indiana in May

Scotland at the end of June/beginning of July...18 rounds in 10 days...second time there.

Weekend in Michigan...CD/KC

Make match play again in the Mass. Am....and win the club championship again (not since '06).

Week of golf in CO, maybe up to Rock Creek for the weekend after

Columbus Day weekend around NYC, followed by a few days upstate.

Also, become an uncle in Feb, and visit Key West, Curacao, and Peru for non-golf reasons!
So I jump ship in Hong Kong....

For R. Montesano: Regarding #5 on your list. When you get to OBX be sure to play Kilmarlic, Sea Scape and the Currituck Club. Kilmarlic for the inland coastal Carolina feel; Sea Scape for the best use of the OBX terrain (despite the hiccup due to alterations on the back nine and because Masters champ Art Wall only designed one course) and Currituck Club to see what Rees Jones could have done better (although the 10th through 15th holes are pretty good).
Life's too short to waste on bad golf courses or bad wine.

Mac, my "wish list" and my actual planned year are somewhat different.   ;D

I have a trip to California planned and will get to play Riviera (that will definitely be the highlight of the year)!  Also, will play Rustic Canyon on that same trip.

Late summer, I hope to make a trip to either:  Prairie Club, or go see Jeff Brauer's work in Northern Minnesota.

Plus, I'll mix in a few tourneys here and there.

You know - I need to get my tail out to Cobb's Creek this year!  I'm ashamed of myself that I haven't been out there since I moved to Philly in 1993.

But you know I'll keep inviting you. . . Perhaps one day our schedules won't be orthogonal.  :)

Dan,

At the very least, Joe and I would love to bring you and Laura out for a tour during the winter months.   With the leaves off the trees, it's much easier to see the landforms used in the original routing, and much easier to understand the overall plan.

We can always play there once warmer weather comes back, but visually the original routing is tougher to see once the foliage grows back.

We'll look forward to it.

Mike - let's do it!   Sometimes we neglect those items close to home that are really meaningful.  I hate Bible quotes, but John 4:44 fits well here.

Dan/Mark,

Let's keep our eye on the weekend weather forecasts.

I'm willing to play tour guide (with Joe) with anything above freezing, provided no rain and reasonable winds.

i'll definitely keep an eye on the weekend weather. Should be fun!  Wintertime fresh air is always a good thing.  Always like walking a golf course without the sticks.
