After a quick 5 min. look around the intraweb...I could not be less excited about the course itself.  :'(

Totally rebuilt from the previous course by Dave Sampson of European Golf Design. Reopened quite recently. My colleague Richard Humphries was there a couple of weeks ago -- there will be a review of the place in the next issue of GCA.

Played it April 2016 and was singularly unimpressed (but to be fair...it has been totally redone since I gather).  I also find it interesting that Europeans accuse the USA of being too "commercial" in sports...yet just look at the courses that have hosted a Ryder Cup...against the courses in Europe that are available.  It goes to the highest bidder every time, in part because the European Tour has needed the $$ to stay alive.
