I haven't played many mentioned here.  But I enjoy the course at Grand National -- though the greens are often times beat up.

If you play one set of tees, the lengths can be monotonous.

The key is playing a match where the winner of the previous hole gets to choose the tee box for the next hole.

Great call.

One of my funest evenings on a golf course was chasing daylight there w/ 8 guys jumping tee's in a last man standing match.

Good news Brother - in Law gets a hole in one durring this - bad news it was from the ladies tee's!!

Anyone play the par 3 course at Shelter Harbor?

Lincoln also had a nice little muni par-3 course for juniors, which is where my brother and I learned to play.

Matthew -- You are killing me! Jim Ager Jr. Course was the best. We lived about an hour from Lincoln and whenever mom and dad needed to take a trip, they'd just drop me and my brother off and we play that thing over and over and over for probalby $8. A great place for us to learn the game. It's hosted the "young kids" in the Cornhusker State Games forever. Fond memories.

My parents were mutual friends with the family that at one time (early-mid 80s) ran the Ager Jr. and Pioneers. They really got all of us interested in the game at an early age.

Unfortunately we had to move away to Wisconsin soon after, so I didn't play it too much after that, although I did play it once in awhile on trips back, which we did frequently as most of my extended family was still in Lincoln and Omaha for many years.

I actually did do the Cornhusker State Games one summer there, even though I didn't live there anymore. And hacked pretty badly I recall.
