I'm not sure why, but I was able to get it on the Amazon UK site recently for £0.01

Although I'm from Ireland, I still enjoyed it immensely and thought it was a great read. If he ever decides to update it, hopefully he'll include Belvoir Park, a Colt design (his one glaring omission) and maybe lay-off a bit on the guest house/menu descriptions.

I'm looking forward to reading his others on Scotland, England and Wales.

Question for the UK guys have you ever heard of Finegan outside of GCA?  I've mentioned him to a few people who've heard of Doak, Darwin, Steel etc and drwan a blank each time. 

I leant out my copy so I'm off to Amazon now.

Probably not.  I stumbled on his Scottish book likely the same year it was published.  This was back when Borders in Ann Arbor (which was then the flagship store) used to carry an unbelievable collection of golf books - likely due to Clock Tower Press and its later iterations.  If I recall, it was the only travel book without pix and this was its main appeal.  I figured the guy could write if he didn't include pix.

Never heard of the guy before I signed up to GCA.com. I think I first read about him on a thread posted sometime during the autumn; something about an incident he had at Rye with two old ladies.
