Lido and El Boqueron
« on: January 04, 2010, 09:42:20 PM »
Curious to see what the pulse is here on these two courses.  As we've recently found out, a new Lido was (and maybe still is) being contemplated.  We all know that there is an El Boqueron in the works.

Which of these courses can generate wide spread appeal based on their story?  Will that speak to the wide spread appeal of MacKenzie vs CBM, generally?  Will Old Mac affect the perception of CBM in the same, more or different way that Augusta National does MacKenzie.

I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

I predict the two courses will be extremely exciting to members of a certain website, and not many others will have a clue.  Each, if marketed to the golfing public at large, will sink or swim on its local marketing.  The golf publications can help to start with but long term success will depend on the expertise of the owners.

On the other hand, GCAers will plan trips from all over the world!  ;D
