Aronimink a restoration of a restoration ???

I am not sure any of the changes in MLB are in any way comparable to what has happened in golf.  Perhaps balls have changed over the years (though you get firm denials on that), and changing the field (lowering mound) does not change the one on one element.  In golf, it is the equipment.

NCAA baseball has put in rules (bats) to make the game better and less like softball.  Basically they have taken the composite bats back to the characteristics/technology that existed in the eighties.

Joe:
After seeing Aronimink on TV this weekend, I tried searching for an older photo album both here and on myphillygolf.com that showed the course after the Ron Prichard restoration work, but before Gil Hanse's work.  I am interested in comparing the two.  Are there any photo albums still out there?

Thanks,
Tom

This is a photo album from before Gil's work:

Perhaps it is just the better more classic maintenance (trees, mowing patterns, expanded greens) that takes the day but it appears the 2018 Hanse restoration of a Ross designed Mcgovern built course trumps the 1990's Prichard restoration of a non-implemented plan.(I think I am getting that right).

Kudos to all for moving forward, a real gem of a course that will surely be seen positively in the rater community.
