The articles don't mention it, but I sure hope that Dan Schlegel is still involved in what they are calling "renovations" happening there over the next two years.

The property has potential, but much of the present layout is just silly.

He's done some really good work in hilly terrain, and has a very good feel for creating strategic holes.   It would be great to have a really good course in the Poconos.

Concur with Mike ...

The key is trying to have a better 1st hole to set the tone for the round.

I never saw an UP-hill par-5 hole that featured a blind water hazard as you hit your second / third shot.

Guaranteed to always cause a major train wreck before you get any momentum for the day.

The land site has the potential to be unique -- I've always liked a few of the holes. But just as you like certain things you get other holes -- the "unique" downhill / blind par-3 9th ?

Mount Airy could be so much more ... the right person with some serious $$ could do plenty.

We shall see ...
