Dan,

I have two courses with significant contour, one maintains the right green speed, I am guessing around 8.5 to 9, and the other maintains them too fast for my taste but they claim it works for the members.

Kelly,

In talking about green speeds, how fast, ideally, would you like to see a course such as Lederach?  I ask in this example as many here are familiar with it.  Taken another way, when you, as an architect, complete a design for a course, do you have a target speed in mind?
Or, is this something that evolves over time as the course takes shape?  Thank you.

And last but not least; selecting a fitting turf variety for the speed and design.
