Speaking of NLEs, I remember fondly a poster named Daniel Wexler. I wonder what he's up to.

Hey, how about Scott Burroughs and his aerial threads? Maybe not pure research along what Tom has in mind, but I've learned alot about the evolution of courses over the years through some compare and contrast aerials.

Dan Moore's old cache of Chicago-area aerials, from an interesting (USDA?) source, some of which are NLE, is also first-rate research, I'd suggest.
