Let's just agree that we both believe that the 18th green at PV might be even better if it had a internal contour that followed what was reported by Crump's two closest friends about what Crump had in mind for it before he died.

As far as going to the expense of creating and entire new hole on the Short Course (which could be problematic for numerous other reasons) I think that idea is completely ridiculous since it really isn't hard at all just to do it on the existing 18th green. I have no doubt at all PV would think building an entire new hole just to experiment with a green contour roll is completely ridiculous too.

If that's what someone there actually thought it should take I have little doubt it would ever get done.

If we were talking about Augusta I'd agree with you.

But, PV may be reluctant to embark on such a highly visible change, thus, trying the change out in a field lab seems like the most practical method for achieving Crump's intent on # 18.
