Your pictures are of the "bath tub" green (#14, I think) at Cruden Bay. When were those pictures taken? I thought I read that the ridge in front of the green has actually bit lowered a bit in recent years.
The 5th hole, a short par-4, at Golspie (north of Dornoch) has a green site that is a similar. There is a ridge across the front of the green and on the right side of it. The left side of the green is guarded by a rock wall and the beach beyond it. Behind are two bunkers to catch shots that run thru the green. From the fairway, only the top of an extra-tall flagstick is visible.
I wish I had a picture to post (and knew how to do so!).
