There was a young lady from Newton
Who winked at a lad who lost in the tourney
They drank until 2 when he said I like it down under
The lady was nervous and said she liked it on top
Now what happened til 6 we'll never be certain
But the lad walked all the day to carry the bag of his buddy
Who lost in the finals and knows of the lady from Newton
Goss plays golf at University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He came with high regard and continues to get better. It will be interesting to see how the golf team does in the fall schedule.
Along with discussion of the non US finalists, it seems that Fitzpatrick might not fit the mold of the overseas player which is that of a hard nosed golfer who may practice more than he studies.
A Division I player gets quite a lot at many schools. At UT, there have a wonderful mini course with 3 holes, and bent and bermuda practice greens, and a wonderful building for training, fitness, film, etc. It is probably an equal training ground to the mini tours, those circling below web.com. You have room and board, and the best practice facilities, and good competitions on quality courses. If it doesn't work out, you get your business degree and then start selling financial stuff.
Congratulations to Fitzpatrick and Goss.
