Is this course open yet? Has anyone played it or seen it? Thoughts?

Slated to host a PGA Tour event in October...

My buddy said they are a little bit behind in growing in the course.

My Buddy Scott, an ardent lurker, corrected my post!

Subject: hey stop quoting me, actually here is the real story

"My buddy said they are a little bit behind in growing in the course."

"Officials are concerned the Jack Nicklaus-designed course at Running Horse
won't be ready for the 72-hole tournament Oct. 22-28, 2007. Only two of the 18
holes have grass."

"To date, there are two holes on the golf course that are complete with grass
and sprinklers. Of the 52 homes planned across the street, half are still in
various stages of construction; three years after the project began."

Fresno developer accused of bilking investors dies

The Associated Press
Article Launched: 09/18/2008 02:03:31 PM PDT

FRESNO, Calif.—A real estate developer accused of bilking investors of $6 million in connection with a failed Fresno golf club project has died.

Authorities say 46-year-old Scott Webb was found dead Wednesday in a motel in the Fresno area. They say foul play does not appear to be involved.

Earlier this week, the state revoked the real estate licenses of Webb and his business partner Tom O'Meara after they did not challenge allegations that they defrauded 10 investors in the Running Horse golf development.

The men were accused of selling the same lots to multiple buyers, among other things.

O'Meara denies any wrongdoing and said he will apply to have his license reinstated. He declined to comment on Webb's death.
"... and I liked the guy ..."
