East Hampton Golf Club
« on: September 16, 2008, 04:40:49 PM »
In a few weeks I'm making a trip across the pond to New York and one of the courses we have lined up is East Hampton Golf Club.
What surpises me, being Coore & Crenshaw course is that it hasn't been  more posts on here about it.
Has anyone played it? What did you  think of it?
The photos I have seen of it look impressive.

There were a good number of posts about it, but it was a long time ago, and I don't think they are in the archives.

My recollection is that it was an inherited routing that C&C couldn't alter much, if at all, due to permitting issues. I believe Tom Paul is one of the few people on here to post somewhat extensively about the course; perhaps he will see the thread and chime in.

I'll dig a bit in the archives and see if I can find anything.

There are, of course, several other courses in that neighborhood that are, shall we say, "worth playing".

Chopoat - please play PVGC and East Hampton than post again.  I have a felling that you will edit your previous post.  JC
