YEA for us.

No clue re Bayonet - that course is so screwed up now from what I am used to, I don't know what hole that is.  The trees are what did it for me there.

Re Callippe, I think it's 14.. but I wouldn't be surprised if I have it wrong.

I have no idea... it definitely is before they changed it so I have no idea. Are the bunkers still in the same place on whatever hole it is??

By the way, although we have ripped the new course, the driving range is AWESOME. It would be a nice place to hit balls. Never gets too hot, practice in the wind, and the whole range is grass.

The range does look very cool indeed.

And I have yet to play the revised version.

But I'm a weird freak who loved Bayonet in the crazily-penal form it held in the military days.  I tend to hate penal golf but that was such a paragon of such it was the ultimate test - totally unfair, but totally revealing - and for that I did love it as the exception to all rules.  Each butchering, er I mean change, to Bayonet makes me like it less and less.  This latest one I can't seem to stomach, from the pictures... although I'm sure I will play there again someday.

Could it be the course at Incline Village?? I know they did a complete renovation up there a few years back.

Is #4 a hole at Old Greenwood?  Possible from a couple years ago, when it was being built?

Course #1 is not named Fred, but is the "old" Bayonet 7th hole.  I believe it was shortish par-4 and the bunker fronting the green made depth perception difficult.  Here is a photo of the approach from back in the fairway:

Course #2 is the 14th hole from Callippe Preserve in Pleasanton, CA.  Another shortish par-4 of 320 - 350 yards playing uphill with severely sloping front to back left green.

Course #3 is DeLaveaga Golf Course in Santa Cruz, not to far from Pasatiempo.  This angle is looking back across 13th green down the fairway with the 12th fairway and green in the distance.

Course #5 is Half Moon Bay Ocean Course, an Art Hills course opened in 1997 and the grow in superintendent (?) was Pete Galea.

The 5th hole is a long one, usually into the wind and 473 yards from the tips.

Photo #4 is not currently a golf course, but by all accounts was destined to be one.  However, I have not been able to find someone to confirm the original intent of the property.  On some of the "holes", it looks like grading was done for tee boxes.

I have come to call it Dollar Hill Golf Course, just east of Tahoe City, North Shore Lake Tahoe.  It offers cross county skiing during the winter and mountain biking, hiking and a fantastic dog run.

Looking at the aerials, it sure looks like a golf course to me ... I count 9 holes ..
