Seems like an easy enough fix.

An excerpt from the article.

Last month, the Orlando Utilities Commission nudged the premium rate a bit higher. For volumes of more than 30,000 gallons a month, the price was increased from $5 to $5.30 per thousand gallons.

They need to bump that figure up by adding a zero to it ...$53.00 per thousand gallons if they exceed the 30k gallons per month limit.  If that doesn't get thier attention, add another 0.  When one is paying $100k per month for water, that should get attention very quick.

I am sure you guys have flaws too.

Although I understand the article's intent to address the water conservation concerns in Florida, I do not like this type of journalism that intends to make examples of a few "influential" people when clearly the "average joes" are using quite a bit as well.

Bryon,

I disgree with your last post.  The article already points out what the "average joe" uses:

Most households use less than 10,000 gallons

Tiger is averaging more than 10x this, why should he not be made an example of.  Sure he's no Al Gore who tells everyone to cut back while he uses more energy in a month than most use in a year....but never-the-less, TW's case remains extreme.

I was expecting this to have something to do with architecture, or at least golf course maintenance.
