1 at Painswick is the up hill of all up hills holes. It is a 300 straight up the hill at a 45 degree angle. The grass must be kept long to hold the ball in place. I personally needed a serba to move my larger than life body and clubs to the green. lol

The bunkerless par 4 12th at Medinah is pretty good but may not qualify as steep.  I also like the par 3 4th at Lawsonia and Lawsonia's par 5 13th with the third shot up a steep hill to a green whose surface cannot be seen.  Last week I saw but did not play a cool looking Bendelow original; an uphill dogleg right reverse camber shortish par 4 at Birmingham CC outisde Detroit.
