I was delighted when I saw the announcement of TWO Phoenix dates, then dismayed when I saw the price:  $90 (+fees)    ouch  :P

(Better get behind the mule...)

Sean,
They are all sold out here in the states.
I fell asleep at the wheel and missed my chance in Houston.
I got them somewhere else... not Ireland unfortunately however.

The press conference tells it all...

Well, I'm thinking that the Fox in Atlanta is the place to see Tom.  I don't think I will see this tour as  the only somewhat reasonable (8 hour car drive with family in tow) opportunity for me is Paris.  Strangely, I think this will be his best date in Europe as the Rex is a cool place with a load of history.  Knowing Tom, I would be surprised if London is added to the tour, but then I wouldn't be surprised as well.

Tom - I think Tom is on his last legs for touring and I bet this is your last chance to see him in Phoenix.  Take advantage of it now!  This tour will be fantastic and better than any $90 you will get out of a golf course.

Sean - won't be seeing Mr. Waits anywhere, unfortunately. But I wonder, has anyone ever felt like this?

The piano has been drinking, my necktie is asleep
And the combo went back to New York, the jukebox has to take a leak
And the carpet needs a haircut, and the spotlight looks like a prison break
And the telephone's out of cigarettes, and the balcony is on the make
And the piano has been drinking, the piano has been drinking...

And the menus are all freezing, and the light man's blind in one eye
And he can't see out of the other
And the piano-tuner's got a hearing aid, and he showed up with his mother
And the piano has been drinking, the piano has been drinking
As the bouncer is a Sumo wrestler cream-puff casper milktoast
And the owner is a mental midget with the I.Q. of a fence post
'Cause the piano has been drinking, the piano has been drinking...

And you can't find your waitress with a Geiger counter
And she hates you and your friends and you just can't get served without her
And the box-office is drooling, and the bar stools are on fire
And the newspapers were fooling, and the ash-trays have retired
'Cause the piano has been drinking, the piano has been drinking
The piano has been drinking, not me, not me, not me, not me, not me

Just wondering, you know....
Peter

Unfortunately it's impossible for me to get away to Columbus for a day in the summer.  Here's hoping this ISN'T his last tour.  I had to live the brief Orphans tour of 2006 through some pretty great recordings, and it's looking like I may have to do the same for this one.
