Recently I came across a mention in a 1920 newspaper account of "David Honeyman who constructed the famous new course at St. Andrews..."
Anyone know anything about him?

OTM's assistant, and responsible for suggesting that the Jubilee course be extended into 18 holes.

He is also referred to as OTM's "henchman," and is famously inlcuded in OTM's first principle of green keeping:
"Saund, Honeyman, saund and then mair saund."
