Jamie,

How did Jesper finish in the British Open ?

Were there any golfers who shot ten strokes per round higher than he did for the first two rounds (full field) ???

Shivas,

Shame on you, a lawyer, and you didn't read the fine print.
Is that malpractice or shysterism ?

My contention was that Rick Hartman was better by five shots per round than the average player in the GAP Open, composed of 45 pros and 15 amateurs.

Hartman stated that Jesper was 10 shots per round better than he was in major competitions.

No one ever stated that Jesper was 10 or 15 shots per round better than his fellow PGA Tour players.

That, apparently is how lawyers attempt to present their case when they can't argue the facts.   ;D

Pat,

Although he is currently having his worst year on tour, Jesper is and has been my favorite player over the last 5-7 years.

I gave the scores for the NY Open just to have a little fun...

To answer your question...there was NOT a single player for the first two days that Jesper beat by 10 shots per round.

The last place player in the field finished +17 for the first two rounds, Jesper was +2.

Jamie,

I know you were having fun and so am I.   ;D

If Jesper can beat PGA Tour players by 7.5 shots per round,
I don't think there is any question that he can beat NON-PGA
TOUR players, including amateurs, by a much wider margin.

For the record, the last place player at the OPEN was...

Kiyoshi Miyazato (JPN)

Not exactly your average PGA Tour Pro ;), but I get the point!

Shivas,

Do you consider the NY State Open to be a Major ?

I'll take the bet with a change in players.
At the time the statement was made, Parnevik was # 12 in the world and on the Ryder Cup team.  So I'll take the current player or players that fit that criteria versus the field of qualifying club pros.

Does missing the cut give me the bet, just like a blackjack player going over 21 ?

How about the good club pros that don't qualify ?
