New Keiser Projects

On a No Laying Up podcast from this week, Mike Jr. mentioned that his father Mike Sr. was working on projects in Scotland and Southern California and that he and his brother (who own Sand Valley) are working on projects in Colorado and Florida. He also hinted of future development at Bandon.


Anyone know anything about where/what these might be?

The expectation is Keiser will be involved with building a new course on the site of the old Castlecraig course along the Cromarty Firth at Nigg, Scotland.

The California site is near the Mather Air Force Base & Lompoc. There has been discussion of both these projects on prior threads here.

The southern CA project is on land controlled by Vandenberg AFB.


The base commander (no longer the commander)  discussed it during a town hall saying a contract was close to being signed...that was July 2019.

Vandenberg already leases lands on the base to private companies, granted that's not for recreation.

Yes, it is Vandenberg, not Mather, air base. My mistake and thanks for the correction.

There was a reference on a different thread a while back that the Keiser’s were looking at a site in Southern New Jersey.

Thank you for posting this. I wanted ask the same question. I remember the reference to a South NJ course in a previous thread. But I don’t remember anyone saying where in South Jersey?


Anyone have insight?

The California project is pretty much dead. The red tape, dealing with the CCC, environmental issues including the monarch butterfly habitat and now the drought have doomed the project.  Although the land sits of Federal property, the state and CCC are trying to exert control.  In court the Federal government would prevail but it would take up time and money.
