Talk about a buried lede. I almost missed this thread. The inner workings of the USGA are always interesting. I think about the triumvirate of golfers ridiculously left off USA sides (Brandt Snedeker, John Peterson and Sam Burns) and remember that nothing is impossible in MoreFar Hills, back of beShort, NJ.
Does the USGA owe anything to the memory of Der Bingle, to its former Amateur champion Nathaniel? Probably not. There truly should be no strategy in NC's setting of the lineups, as the team members will doubtless know each other much better than he will.
