Davenport (Charles Alison) in iowa
« on: July 17, 2007, 08:44:01 PM »
This course, one of Alisons westernmost in America, has often been rated among Iowa's best. Mr.Alison's clients often  gave him very good land to create a fluent routing. Is the same true here ? How does it compare to Wakonda by Langford ,or to Cedar  Rapids by D.  Ross. thanks

A few years ago John deere had some supts up for the JD Classic and we had an outing there.....I think Paul azinger's brother is the manager...very interesting golf course.....good but not exceptional....BUT I think the TPC course was one of the best TPC courses I have played.

It's been several years since I played the course, but I think it would rank third on that list.  However it is worth visiting.  I thought it was very solid with a few outstanding holes.  A good members course.
