I actually liked Redlands Mesa, for what it is, but for me the 17th was the most contrived hole on the course.

My initial reaction was either "#15" (or #1 in our souls) at Banff or most of the back 9 at Sand Hollow.

I then immediately thought of the quote in the Little Red Book that (I think...don't skewer me if I'm wrong because I don't have it in front of me) Pete Dye said "show me a clubhouse with a view and I'll show you an uphill 18th."

1.  I don't see a lot of uphill holes being suggested here.
2.  I don't see a lot of 18th holes being suggested here.

9th at Kington.  Closely followed by the 18th.

By the way, why is it a rule on here that when the OP does something like specify "non-Ocean division" at least one in ten responses will deliberately ignore that?  Obviously ocean side tees have a huge advantage, hence the question.  Royal County Down or TOC my left foot.
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

While not the best hole on the course, the view across the polo fields from the 5th Tee at Piping Rock Club, with the clubhouse in the background, is pretty hard to beat.  I thought I had a photo from this tee box, but can't find it, sorry all.

I don't know a scintilla of what Pete Dye knew about GCA (but since when has that stopped any of us on here), but I can think of three classic Top 100 courses just on the East Coast that disprove his clubhouse with a view comment: TCC, Essex and Merion. I guess with the distances that people hit the ball today, Merion's 18th could be uphill for some.

This is kind of cheating but #13 or #15 at Northland CC

Those are both terrific.

The back tee at the 12th at White Bear Yacht Club.

It is squeezed between the bunker behind the wild par-3 11th green, and the very active highway 96. The tee shot is over the two-lane highway and downhill toward one of the better holes at WBYC, the 12th. The tee box itself is all of one pace long, and three paces wide.

Are we talking about best views from a tee or how the tee area blends into the golf course and enhances the hole?

Some of these runway tees or multiple round teeing areas are just scaring the land.

My personal favorites like the 12th at SFGC are just walk off tees where the tees just blend into the fairway.

I think the par 3 8th hole at Windermere golf club has to be up there. Truly magnificent views across the Lake District.

I will post El Desafio #2 tee shot, par 4, 385 yards, over a deep canyon to a fairway 33 feet below. Andes in the background. For perspective, decent tee shots can fly trees on the left to a very wide fairway.

I believe only Tom Doak has seen this from this board.

Interesting choice with Cleopatra, for me there is just something about the 14 Lac Beauvert. The setting mix with the choice of club make it my personal favourite Tee at Jasper.
