Mike,

Was this tee shot of yore from the back tees?

I don't like the term "random" bunkering, either.  Whitten has attributed it to me in the past, but perhaps he just can't discern the logic behind not putting the bunkers in the same place on every hole.

Maybe he just picks his adjectives at random.

Johnny,

I assume that is a rhetorical question as I know you would never rain on another Hillbilly's parade.  Nonethless, the answer is "of course not."  I recall playing from the "Doak Tees."  We cannot all be the great player that you and Gary are.

Mike,

I'm happy that you hit a nice drive and the bunker placement made your day.  I only asked because knowing your game I was curious of Doak's intent.  Obviously if he built a tee behind the one of your choice he did take the elite player into account during the design.  I would have said that if you were playing from the tips he did not.
