What are our responsibilties to the golfing world as people on and off the course??
I find what Tiger Woods said to be very disrepectful, as I feel golf is a game of complete respect, honesty, and full of great people. However, as GCA'ers representing the game of golf, what are our responsibilties?? Are we held to higher examples on a golf course then other people, and are we examples to other people??
My personal opinion is that everybody in ths group should always be very respectful, both on and off the course, and also we should set examples for fellow golfers who fail to do these things (such as respect). I feel that we need to set examples, as obviously some of the great golfers of the world are failing to do. After joining this site I have personally learned a great deal of respect on and off the course, and also toward the traditional values of the game.
If it is true that people look up to the best golfers in the world and see them being disrespectful, how much of an example are we as a group to the kids and players of this game?? Obviously, they cannot always follow the best players in the game, so does that make us the prime examples for how respectful and courteous, as well as well-minded as people should be??
