C. Ackerly-
While you saw fit to retract your post, it should be noted that the golf club, appears to have GOLF as it's focus, and not the houses or clubhouse. So, it is definetly geared to a select few.

DMoriarity:

You are a bait and attack guy. Attack someone else, I'll not fall for it a 2nd time.

I prefer I-95, best interstate in the US of A ;D

Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

You imply that "sooo many" here are hypocrites regarding how they view architecture, yet I am the one attacking?  That's rich.

If that waterfall on the first page is not a waterfall, what is it called?  Though, I think it looks alright in the photo.  Doesn't look anymore out of place than the green areas.  Is this going to be a private or public access course?

Sean, The course is private. With a slant towards those who want to emphasize golf.

There is no doubt that the Coachella will be getting much better, with Stone Eagles arrival.

Does anyone know what they are grassing the fairways, tees, greens and rough with????   I bet it will be a fun time taking care of those bunkers with those steep faces.....

Muni:  It's all bermudagrass, including the greens.  Of course it will all be overseeded in winter.

The bunker faces are steep, but since it rarely rains there, we hope it won't be too much of an issue.

Tom:

I like the looks of this course, when do you think it will open?

It opens Thanksgiving weekend, assuming all goes according to plan.  Every time I tell that to someone they raise their eyebrows (there are still six fairways which need to be planted), but bermuda spreads very quickly in the hot weather they've been having lately.
