Rancho La Quinta
« on: December 19, 2004, 10:02:55 PM »
Has anyone here had the chance to play at Rancho La Quinta in the Palm Springs area? I know its a RTJ II and they had the Skins Game there a few years ago.

Was wondering about others' opinons on this course- i may be playing there later this month.

Thanks!

2 courses there rtj and Pate- pate is the newer of the two.
rtj is the course formerly used for the skins game. both courses are set up to play relatively easy. Lots of retired couples that bunt it around. If the wind is blowing however, you will have all you can handle. Very green and lots of plantings- and plenty of housing!

I would like to remind all that have played there or are going to be playing there, that the sand dunes that used to exist on this site where capable of producing world class golf. In fact, it may have been the best site in all of the Coachella Valley for golf.

I'll let you decide for yourselves if Mr. Pate and Stinky did a good job.

Tommy,

How would you have integrated the dunes, housing and golf course ?

Now, would those be oblique dunes or...... ::)  (that's for Patrick to answer, being the expert)
