At least Fletch punched the picture, not the dirty chief of police, so you're proably safe.

And it's "Irwin", not Ervin.  Gotta brush up on your Fletch!   ;)

Brian, as you know the gutter can be a very happy place for a mind. She is an incredibly beautiful woman and you must thank your wife every day for having such good friends. That was a great story and you can bet that Arnold loved it. James Edwards was sharing some Arnold stories with me during our round at Deal. They were more about Arnold coming out to the first tee zipping up though.

Brian, John,

I feel I must intervene here and clarify what John means by zipping up.  A former coach of mine, George Will who played in the Ryder Cup in 1965, 67 and 69 spoke very highly of AP who he was paired with on more than one occasion in the Ryder Cup matches.  George, a delightful Scotsman, who doesn't speak out of turn, would say that AP enjoyed his years on tour and that he very rarely had a night alone - put it that way! such was his attraction to woman at the time.  He used to joke that there must be a series of wonderful golfers around the globe who have the AP genes... ;)

He was also fortunate to fly in AP private jet in the States when he first obtained it and would consequently be dropped by Ben Hogan - Captain of the USA Ryder Cup Team for driving the plane to low up the 18th hole..

Hope your well John..  Fine Player!

Dave,

I've touched the Stanley Cup without winning it, so I can pretty much write myself off there.

Of course you do realize that since you've jumped into this thread that you have to send me your 1980 Gold Medal so I can be photgraphed with it  ;)  I promise to send it back Priority mail  ;D

...better yet, come down to Cuscowilla GCA event in November and let Huckaby and I buy you beers and bother you with requests for stories.

Brian -

I hope you can make it to Five Farms in June, but please don't wear the Gator hat as my Hurricane headcovers couldn't take it. Awesome picture with the jug! Did you birdie #18 that day? (BTW I did) It was pretty cool playing between the stands though.

Brian,
I am counting on Cuscowilla in Nov- and hopefully by that time of year, the white spot on my chest will be less pronounced- having worn the medal to the beach all summer!
of course, I use it for a ball mark in any business golf!
