Title: The “Lost” Simpson Holes at Woking
Post by: Ira Fishman on March 05, 2025, 12:17:51 PM
Richard Parnell has an excellent piece about the 9th and 10th at Woking. Does anyone know if there are plans to restore the Simpson holes? It looks from Google Earth that the land they occupied is still there.

Thanks.

Richard Pennell. I can’t recall if the club still owns the land beyond the 9th fairway. We took a walk back there eons ago and could still see remnants of the old Simpson green. Even if the club doesn’t own the land, shorter versions of the Simpson holes could be built and they would surely be better than what is in the ground today.

Sean,

Thanks. My bad on the spelling.
