I own a compilation of notable NYT obituaries, and stumbled upon the below. I'm fairly certain it's the shortest of the hundreds of entries in the book.


London - "Old Tom" Morris, a veteran professional golfer, who was known by golfing men all over the world, died today at St. Andrew's from concussion of the brain, caused by falling down a flight of stairs in the clubhouse.
