Anyone know if it will be opened soon? When I was there a couple of years ago I was told that a few holes were open for home-owners to play. It doesn't get a lot of love on this site, but I thought it was really good, albeit very unforgiving.

I've been trying to find out also. It was supposed to go private but theres been no news for a while.

I hope it opens soon or even one day. I have to say that even though the course as a whole has issues, some of the coolest / most interesting holes I've ever played are there.

The only time I played the course my back went into spasms about the eighth hole. I couldn't swing a club or even ride in the cart. I told my wife that we should go in. She told me, "absolutely not! You just tough it out." I walked the rest of the way and by the time she finished my back was ok. I explained the situation to the pro shop and they sent us out again off one. It is a difficult course but she loved it.

Your wife must be a good player. Mine could not get past the forced carry on the second hole!
It is a beautiful piece of land but it had some real problems for playability, especially with how windy it can be there.

I enjoyed The Prince Course but as has been mentioned here, it is a very demanding golf course. If you are a good player you will love the challenge. If you not and trying to keep score, it will frustrate most golfers (especially resort play). If you are playing match play you will probably have more fun and not worry as much about all the forced carries and death that surrounds the golf holes.
