A visitor from Australia wants a game on Friday and has asked for recommendations of a good "pay and play" course within easy/day-trip access of London. I guess The Addington is a good option within London, but any other favourites?

The Grove? Woburn?
But then again, almost all the private clubs allow visitor play. ;)

Thanks David, you make a good point!

Woking has a very reasonable price and i believe there is a train station less than a mile away to make it simple to get there.

The Addington is probably one of the best options for him.
Of course most in Surrey/Berks are accessible in some way, but you’re not going to get paired up with others for a game. They’ll take your green fee and send you out as a single.
The Addington he’s likely to get a hit with others and at £80 on a Friday it’s good value as a walk-up.
