Ballpark Blueprints, which specializes, as the name indicates, in creating blueprints of existing and non-existing ballparks, has branched out into golf course blueprints. One of the first is of Ocean Links, the Seth Raynor design on which Charles Blair Macdonald consulted.
I had input on the drawing and believe it to be the most accurate one created of the famed layout. In 2006 when To the Nines was published, the drawing of Ocean Links was the most accurate, but since then more paintings and photography of the golf course has been found, showing the existence and placement of additional bunkers, mounds, etc.
Ocean Links, continues to be for me, a fascinating design for a variety of reasons.

Pretty cool stuff!

The scale of this course on four distinct parcels is quite amazing. It must have been a site to behold. The more I look at the drawing, the paintings and the aerials the more I'm amazed. The seventh, though, was either the worst hole the two ever came up with or pure genius.

Yeah, the 2 aiming knobs at the top seem pretty contrived.
