Played it once during a college tryout and recall it being pretty decent. Long associated story of my misspent youth I won't bore you with.
Something wrong with this picture though.
Danville is home of the YUGE Geisinger Health System and there really isn't any competition in a 25 mile radius. The public course in town (Cherokee) closed a few years back and others in the neighborhood are abysmal. If a club can't be successful in a one horse town with lots of medical professionals then golf is truly in trouble.

Looked on their site and saw $40 to play with lunch included. That coupled with the article has me wondering if it wasn’t so much golf suffering in general and a club that mismanaged itself into a debt situation that the membership decided to punt on.

Mr. Mike:
Many of the Doctors and other employees at Geisinger live in Lewisburg ( 17.5 miles away ) and belong to that gem on the Susquehanna -
The Bucknell Golf Club.
But, you can see the Chillisquaque Ridge from there.
Have not played Frosty, but had heard it was the best course in the area after Bucknell.

Mr. Bill,
I obviously need to get my mileage eyes checked. 8)
