Interestingly, Hawtree has a second woman--Christine Fraser-- working as an Architect as well.

Good luck to her, but the EIGCA diploma is still a meaningless qualification from a pointless organisation.

I don't have much insight on either the diploma or the organisation, but you could you briefly explain why you think they are pointless? thanks.

I don't have much insight on either the diploma or the organisation, but you could you briefly explain why you think they are pointless? thanks.

We've hashed this one a few times before, but the general gist is that golf architecture AS A PROFESSION has not yet reached the point where, in order to practice within it, you must possess a recognised qualification.
We've debated the merits of experience vs qualifications and never yet come to any consensus - and I doubt we ever will!

Experience wins but going through a qualification is also a form of experience, especially for these students who are required to be connected to a working GCA for a given number of days per month.
