Marty,
I am doubly blessed as one of Australia's newer sons! Burns Night and Australia Day all wrapped up intae one!
What am I supposed to do? Wash down a Four'n'Twenty meat pie, or a Vegemite sandwich perhaps, with a glass of Macallan 21!
Golf, Thy Charms
Golf, thy charms my bosom fire,
And waste my soul with care;
But ah! how bootless to admire,
When fated to despair!
Yet in thy presence, lovely Golf,
To hope may be forgiven;
For sure 'twere impious to despair
So much in sight of Heaven.
Rabbie Burns massacred by Colin Macqueen!

Happy oz day, cuzzin Col!
I think a nice blend of Aussie and Scottish culture would be in order. How about a wee highland fling to 'I should be so lucky'? Or Waltzin Matilda' on the bagpipes maybe? (Actually, I bet that would sound really good!!!)

I had to look up what this was (silly American).
I have no idea how you can eat either haggis or the Vegamite stuff, but the Macallan is a great idea.

Ye Pow'rs, wha mak mankind your care,
And dish them out their bill o' fare,
Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware
That jaups in luggies;
But, if ye wish her gratefu' prayer
Gie her a haggis!
