Title: Burnham & Berrow GC 1910 Match between Taylor & Braid
Post by: Melvyn Morrow on September 16, 2010, 10:43:19 AM

I know it’s a favourite site of some on here so perhaps you may like to compare your scores with Taylor and Braid from 1910. For some reason I would put my money on Braid

This Match was arranged to celebrate the Opening of the extended course which was then 6,100 yards some 500 yards short of today’s length

Thanks Melvyn, timely but we must bump this next week.

The early arrivers for Buda have just checked into the Dormy house and are now looking for someone with keys to the bar!

The bar is still open at the Seabank Hotel in Porthcawl, but yours truly has retired to the sleeping quarters to prepare for tomorrow's opening matches of the Buda Cup.

The wind still blows at B&B a century later and it's still a wonderful links. Thanks to James Boon for arranging today's event.
