Title: Whispering Pines
Post by: Will Haskett on October 22, 2009, 07:55:42 AM
I am broadcasting all four rounds of the 2009 Spirit International Golf Tournament at Whispering Pines and was hoping to get a little insight into the course at Trinity, TX. I've got a lot of background on the course development and its use as a fundraising vehicle for the World Health and Golf Association.

However, it's hard to get really good information on the course itself, and I know (from some searches on here) that many of you have experience with the course. Any insight would be appreciated.

In case you are curious, here is a link to the tournament page: http://thespirit.amgolf.com/default.aspx

The tournament will have coverage on holes 15, 16, 17 and 18 for 7 hours daily November 4-7 here: http://amgolf.com/default.aspx?menuitemid=380

Great to hear they are covering 15-18.  WP has one of the best finishing stretches I have ever seen beginning with the 14th hole.  Front nine is good, but not as scenic as the back nine.  The shot values are very good, as you need to think about where to place the ball off the tee for the proper shot into the green.
