Gene,
I would be a total out and out, (or in this case In & Out) liar if I didn't admit an addiction to MacDonald's fries. Heck, throw the Big & Tasty in there also! You can't have a cheaper meal on the run!
My problem is I always order it with a Diet Coke, which has got to make the people who are filling the order, laugh their asses off! But what do they know! they're working at MacDonald's!
Also--For all of you including the lapse Catholics--Every Friday during Lent.......... Mickey D's Filet of Fish!!! Just $.99 on Fridays, here in SoCal during Lent! I'm told Ray Kroc started this because he too was a devout Catholic, and so was his wife Joan.
Huckster, You mean to tell me that there isn't the slightest bit of old fashion Catholic guilt going on up there in San Jose? Do you remember me telling you how I went from being a devout USC fan to a Notre Dame die-hard?
Since we are talking Hamburgers. Tom, You being an old Valley dude, do you remember a burger place in Burbank, sort of caticorner/across the street from Burbank High called "Don's Place?" It was one of the best burgers in the world until the place burned down about 8 years ago.
Oregon Folk out there--How about the burger at Helvatia Tavern? Which is another one of those burgers you can wake-up in the middle of the night having the jones' for. Helvatia isn't far from Pumkin Ridge, and the last time I had one was when I had just got done playing--Pumpkin Ridge.
Gene, Also, everytime I'm either picking-up or dropping off at LAX, an architect/or GCA person, it always seems that we hit the In & Out right next to the airport on Sepulveda. I have been there on seperate occasions with:
Geoff Shackelford
Josh Taylor-Took him there directly after he got off of the plane from Oz! He had to make-up for the horrible meals on the plane!
Kye Goalby--an In & Out Junkie if I ever did see one.
Gil Hanse
Rodney Hines
Now that I'm hungry, I'll go eat some carrots--yum!
