Restrained beauty IMO. Got out here and was one of my top 10 experiences for sure on a course and my top C&C course (no Sand Hills as of yet). The greens were rolling maybe 10 and not much wind which made it play much easier than it could have. Waste areas were to be avoided, but the green side bunkering was phenomenal with uniform sand (soft) and no overly deep, so yes a hazard, but not a death sentence. Loved 14-15 and the walk as those who have played there know how special that is. Wished we had more time and would have plunked our butts down on the bench to soak in the view and talk about life. Greens I didn’t think had much tilt to them, but rolling maybe 10 so made it very playable. Just wanted to give FH props for how playable it is for mid handicaps, which I appreciated. Not sure if others agree, but was more playable than a Sand Valley or example. Suppposedly a 136 slope from the member tees and with some wind and faster greens I can see that course getting teeth pretty quickly.
