Holy Smokes!!
If a player insists on playing his maximum power on his tee-shot, it is not the architect's intention to allow him an overly wide target to hit to but rather should be allowed this privilege of maximum power except under conditions of exceptional skill.

TEPaul,

I already mentioned that topos probably weren't available in 1909.

However, a current topo would show the land as if correlates to the Sebonack property.

Another interesting new feature....the green on 15 comes further down into the fairway...and is now squared off in the front....

The best topozone can do is 10 ft contour intervals.  This is  basic but does give some indication of terrain.  Does
Sebonac sit out on the peninsula or is it south of Cold Spring pond?

Eric,

It's north of Cold Spring Pond, and hugs NGLA.

TEPaul,

I"m not very good at reading topos, but, you'd be hard pressed to convince me that the spine and double bowl features didn't have the hand of man in their making.
