FANTASTIC, Lou.  OK, here we go:

1 - 14 fairway CPC, looking back down 17 Mi Drive

2 - hell yes he's Sir to me also.  Great pic on the very hole that he once aced.

3 - Your son at N. Berwick?  I have a great pic of a buddy of mine having hit his drive THROUGH the gap in that very wall... man it was one of the greatest/luckiest tee shots I have ever seen... it's beyond my technical abilities though how to make it show up here though.  Long story.

4 - same son on THE ROAD HOLE...

5 - Carnoustie... not sure which hole though... facing toward hotel... maybe 16, from way left?

Huck,

I believe that it is a picture of (L to R) Sir Huntley, shivas, Moriarty, and Goodale on the 17th tee.  Yours truly was licking his wounds following the debacle on 16.  I did knock my blind short-iron approach from the left rough on 17 to within inches, so apparently the picture taking didn't interfere much.

Lou - oh I knew the people!  And 17 tee, looking out toward water, that makes sense.  And you remain a stud of studs for that round, regardless of any of the particulars.  I was just searching for a way to work in the immortal words of Sir Robert...  ;D

The Carnoustie might be of #18; I did not label it.  Correct on others.

OK a couple last ones.

Lou - the hotel just looks a little too far away to be 18... but you are likely correct.  That may well be from just about the spot JdeV started to go awry.

These next two are both Sand Hills, right?  #1 is 17... #2 I can't place for sure... 11?

Huck,

I didn't label my pics, but the first one is of #17, as is the third one from the lower tees (I think that Dick D is swinging and Brad Miller is watching along with the caddies).  I do think that the second picture is of #1 from the left side, but I could be mistaken.  Isn't #1 on of the great par 5 starting holes in the world?

Lou - when I posted I could only see two pics there... now I see all four and yep, I'm guessing now that second one sure as hell is one of the world's great starting holes PERIOD... Paul Turner's fantastic pic of said hole graces my wallpaper on this computer, and a print of it is two feet to the right of me as I sit. Yeah, I kinda like that golf hole!

Oh good lord, so much to comment on, so little time...

Just one question for all of you yokels though:  hey, I've always been pretty safe and secure with people knowing who I am, never used a pseudoym, you know.  Aren't you all shaking revealing the real you?   ;D ;D ;D

The redanman photos are so epic I am at a loss for retort.  That is one hell of a compliment, let me tell you.

And if ever a photo/comment got audible yuks, it was the last one posted by shivas.  BTW, let that be an example of the reality between these two oft-combatants in this forum though.. the secret is out.. they are actually good friends....

That's #9 at CPC, right?  Oh yes, ELK must have hit wedge at most in that swing.  I feel more confident than anything in this life that that is a driver in yours, or maybe 3wood but only because driver was too much stick.

Thank you, oh great one - I do want to have verities I can continue to believe and have faith in - by saying that was your target, you do mean on the tee shot, right?

My faith remains solid, oh great one.  Obviously as proven by the ELK, the result of any shot matters not - it is the intent that counts.

Man these are great pics, btw... did Lou take all these?  Fantastic stuff.

A fine picture and very close to heaven, indeed.

But that would be #10 green at Dornoch.

Shivas,
Do you have every one of your teeshots ever taken in the San Fran area documented on film?? ::) ;)

BTW, Lou and Tom,
Lou's SH pics are #1 17th, #2, 16th just beyond the tee  (par 5 yes, opening par 5, no), and #3 is the 13th, FYI.

Cheers,

I think I got it.  The URL is not just the two lines that show up.  There is more and you need to scroll down when copying the url to get it all!  that was the problem

This was the chinking in the Mystic armour.

Smilin' Doug Wright at The Mad Russian, North of Denver, Colorado, October 2002.  This rotatable house was once occupied by the designer/developer/owner of the golf course.

Whew, that worked.  I can get on with my life now.  Damn! Where's that remote?

JakaB;

Can you stay wrapped in that when I make a pilgrimage to the midwest this year?     ;D

You look like an ageless Oracle, ready to impart your particular brand of wisdom and prescient ponderings on golf and life as none of the rest of us know it.

I promise to stop by for several days of reflection and meditation.
