That's the last time that I share my pictures.

Looking at the two Pasa shots, it is easy to tell who the college golfer was and who the hack is.  The pics aren't  flattering, and it looks like shivas had given me a wedgie right before the shot.  Actually, I was just trying to knock-down a small 5 iron to a back (imaginary) pin placement.

Wait till I learn how to post pictures!

Hey Mike...is that YOU in the middle of the picture with the kids?  I pictured you much shorter...  :o

Shivas...oh!...so you want soft-core golf-ass porn do you?  Here is a beauty that I can contribute to the fray.  Jill is going to kill me for posting this, but I doubt if little Kathryn minds...

Great call, Scott. More examples of you knowing my home area better than I do!

That is the Exhilirating Layup King, and it is 13 at OClub Lake.  8iron is too much stick for where he exhiliratingly wants to leave his ball, though.  I'm thinking that's a PW.

That indeed looks in some ways similar to #13, but it isn't.

That was gonna be my guess. Those two holes are pretty similar, especially from a long-off perspective like this.

Change the club choice to LW for the ELK - prime layup spot would have to be about 50 yards off the tee.

see if it works for me.

1st Tee NGLA   not a great photo.  Taken two years ago with a crappy disposable camera.  Note how baked out it is though.

#11 Tee St. Andrews (Old)   Taken by my father on his trip in Oct. 2003

#5 St. Andrews (Old)  If the wind is into your face these bunkers can be tough to negotiate.

#17 St. Andrews (Old)  If this photo doesn't prove that leaving your second shot short-right of the green with a pin tucked behind the Road Hole Bunker is NOT the proper play... then I don't know what picture would.  With this pin it is obvious to me to try to play the shot onto the 18th tee.

Cool... I finally can contribute with some pics.  :D

Holy Sh&^t Shivas. I've never actually seen a pic of 16 at Cypress Point from that perspective. It looks like a 487 yard par 3!

Jeff,

NGLA?  (never been there -so I'm guessing)

EDIT:  sure, label them after I guess, making me look like a fool.   (I know, I usually take care of that myself).

Gents, now that we have this new toy for posting pictures, don't you think we have to guard against it becoming Golf Club Atlas, asses?  I don't know the answer to this, but if we start posting tons of pictures, does that harm the efficient functioning of the web site run by SiteSuite or increase the rental cost for the band width?  I know anything about this stuff.  But, we ought to find out if there are cost or space limitations and implications of a potentially exponential number of pictures that can now be posted using the Mystic Lab feature.  Perhaps we ought to make a commitment to go back and edit a posted picture after a week or so of comments, inorder to conserve the memory or band width space.

Is that a helpful suggestion?

Dick, these pics are hosted on the Mystic site, so it's their problem, not GCA's.  So post away!

I'm fine with deleting pictures to save space if need be.  I think especially good photos should be given a right of passage though.

That first St Enodoc Himalaya hole immediately struck a cord with me and brought to mind two of Pete Dye's par 3s at Whistling Straits and the Irish course.  But, he didn't excede the thrill factor of this original.  Now that is a great example of using the Mystic Lab feature to demonstrate interesting course design, and help out most of us to understand things we will never likely get a chance to see.  This is very cool.  I never had the perspective Dave shows us of CPC 16th either.  Great stuff gang...

OK, hey, you OClub boys settle this one way or the other and do give a final report, ok?

All I am certain of is the club choice by the ELK.  ;D

Yeah, the pic is from a weird angle that makes the green appear similar to #13.  Needless to say, #15 doesn't get a lot of lovin', though I think the tree clearing behind it was a positive!

However, #13 is 30 yds longer than #15 so that is a difference.

Simply phenomenal.

BTW, just a guess but I do not believe this is one of the new Steele holes ::)

God dammit - sure, my horrid swing gets laid bare for the entire world to ridicule... but you post a pic of the ONE MAN ON THE PLANET compared to whom my swing looks GOOD, and you have him in this, the only position where he looks like he's not falling from a tree?

Life really isn't fair.  I want a pic of the man during one of his 300 pre-shot waggles.

 ;D ;D ;D

And damn I miss him so - anyone knowing of his whereabouts please do get him to check in.
