Thanks Jason, I'm going to try photobucket.  I lost all my mystic, even though a bought a few hard copy pics from mystic occasionally.

On flickr.com you can <TAG> your photos so that the world can search for them.

It could be the ulimate resource.

SPDB,

You are 1 for 2 and very close geographically.  We played CBHL on the same vacation.

For the previous course pictured:

Course: Highlands Links, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
Hole: 3rd, Par Three, 160ish.
Architect: Stanley Thompson

I don't think it's Highlands Links, but it certainly looks like Stanley Thompson's work. I'll guess the 9-hole Green Gables course.

Right you are Mr. Kearns.

16th hole at Green Gables,  aka Shining Waters.

We played both here and Highlands Links this summer and this was one of the nicer holes we saw IMHO.  The traps and green flowed from left to right much like the beaches of Cavenish where the course is located.

Is Green Gables on Prince Edward Island?  I am dying for a summer trip up that way!  What courses on PEI did Thompson design, if any?

I believe it is the only Thomson course on PEI but there are lots of other courses - Crowbush Cove by McBroom, etc.

I am quite certain Green Gables is the only Thompson on PEI as well.  In fact I believe it was Cooke that redid some holes a few years ago so I am not sure how much of Thompson's design is still there.  Robert T, Jeff or Ian may know better.

Bill, the best thing about PEI in my opinion is that you can access about 2 dozen course from within an hour of Charlottetown.  Granted not all are top notch courses but there is enough there to keep you interested.  McBroom, Furber, Cooke, Hurdzan have all done work there.  There is a pretty good web site that they have put together for reference.  www. golfpei.ca

Shane - the bunkers and the gum trees suggest the Melbourne sandbelt, but better than that I cannot do. Hopefully my Xmas trip will allow better guesses in future. :)

The second one is number five at one of the sandbelt courses.  I just can't remember which one.

Is the first picture of the 9th at Commonwealth?  The short, uphill par 3 behind the clubhouse?  I think I've seen it twice, but never played it (yet!).

Joel, not sure what you're doing wrong. I just upload my pics at Photobucket.com, and when uploaded, copy the "IMG" code into a post, and it appears to work just fine.

Joel - You're not doing anything wrong. The problem is with the picture you are trying to show, and i don't know how to fix that.
